UK consumers still prefer to shop in-store, poll reveals

The research from News UK shows that 56% of The Times and The Sunday Times’ readers and 65% of The Sun’s readers want to see a product in person before making a purchase. In addition, almost 80% of those surveyed agreed that online shopping is having a negative impact on the high street and local communities. 76% of Canadians shopped online last year, Canada Post says

If the Canadian retail industry is looking for a new sales motto, they might want to consider, “Ship It, or Lose It.” After years of dabbling in online shopping, eager consumers looking to spend their money on e-commerce are delivering a wake-up call to retailers. Twenty-four people have been arrested in the UK in an international operation to shut down an online marketplace selling millions of pieces of stolen personal information. Genesis Market was described as a “go-to service” for criminals seeking to defraud victims.
