Gulf and Jordanian visitors to pay £10 for an ETA

Nationals from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Jordan will soon only be required to pay £10 to apply for an ETA, which will allow them to visit the UK multiple times over a two-year period. This is compared to Gulf nationals currently paying £30 per visit to the UK under the current Electronic Visa Wavier (EVW) scheme and Jordanian nationals £100 for a visit visa. New BIS norms to speed up electronics, IT hardware Companies’ compliance process

New Delhi: Electronics and IT hardware makers can save as much as 4 to 13 weeks in compliance process with the latest guidelines issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for implementing parallel testing of their products, an industry body said. The BIS on January 9 announced that the pilot project on parallel testing for select electronics goods would be institutionalized as a permanent provision, covering a total of 64 products under the Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS). PHOENIX (AP) — A federal appeals court tossed out a lawsuit brought by former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake that was previously dismissed, challenging the use of electronic tabulation systems and that sought to ban them in last year’s midterm elections. Lake and failed Arizona Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem, both Republicans, filed a lawsuit in April 2022 that alleged the ballot tabulation systems were not trustworthy.
