The official website for the Chaika – The Coffin Princess (Hitsugi no Chaika) anime project adapting Ichiro Sasaki‘s original novels updated on Thursday, and began streaming a promotional video for the anime’s second TV anime season, Hitsugi no Chaika Avenging Battle. The video features the anime’s opening theme song, “Shikkoku o Nuritsubuse” (Paint Out the Jet Black).

The website notes that the anime will feature the return of Junji Majima as Tohru Acura, Chika Anzai as Chaika Travant, Yuko Hara as Akari Acura, and Chiwa Saito as Frederica.
Soichi Masui (Scrapped Princess) is returning to direct the anime at Bones with series composition by Touko Machida (Tears to Tiara). Nobuhiro Arai (Honey and Clover key animation) will design the characters for the series, while Seikou Nagaoka (Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream) is composing the soundtrack. The voice actress unit coffin princess consisting of Anzai, Yui Makinoand Saeko Zōgō will return to perform the ending theme song, “Watashi wa Omae no Naka ni Iru” (I Am Inside of You).
